This weekend Sophia and I went grocery shopping. We have taught her, since she was very young, that once she is out of the car that she is to keep her hands on the car until one of us takes her hand. We explain to her that doing so will keep her safe.
So, I took her out of the car at Costco, and took her hand to walk into the store. And she said, "Thank you Mama for keeping me safe." I melted.
