Today we are headed home! Yay! While I was bummed to see the vacation end, I was also ready to return to normal life, my own bed, and an easier schedule.
Our flight didn't leave until 2:00pm, so we had a fairly easy morning of packing our suitcases, and then the real challenge of getting all of the people and suitcases into the van. We made it though! We arrived at the airport in plenty of time, and security was a breeze since the airport is pretty small. We ate lunch while we waited to board our plane and didn't have much time to spare (or time to get bored).
We had an uneventful flight (Sophia slept through take-off) and landed early in Seattle. We headed home and were so glad when we made it there. Sophia was happy to see Milo, and happy to be able to sleep in her own bed. It had been a great vacation, but we were very glad to be home!
We want to say thanks to my dad and KJ for all they did to make the vacation happen, to my mom for providing the condo, to my sister for driving 5+ hours each way, and to our roommate for bringing in our mail and keeping Milo alive and making sure our house was still standing when we returned. We had a wonderful trip and we couldn't have done it without you.
