First Bunnies of the Season!

Or as Sophia would say, the “rabbit candy”. My mom and I had a tradition when I was younger that we continue today, and it centers around Palmer Chocolate Bunnies. Once Valentines Day was over, we were on the lookout for them. We would stop at RiteAid (it was Payless then) on our way home from church, and if they had chocolate bunnies, we would each get one and eat them on the way home. To this day, as soon as chocolate bunnies are in the stores, we buy one for each of us and share with each other.

Well, I decided it was time to get Sophia started on this wonderful tradition. I was walking through the store and saw them, and bought three – one for my mom, one for Sophia, and one for me. Mom took hers home to enjoy, and Sophia and I enjoyed ours for a bedtime snack (only after eating a good dinner, of course). What a treat! Sophia had so much fun eating her entire “rabbit candy”, and I had so much fun sharing the experience with her (well, and eating my own bunny too!).
